Code Against Cancer is an app designed to support cancer patients with accessible information and resources focused on nutrition. The app offers a recipe section that excludes ingredients potentially harmful to cancer patients and provides resources tailored to specific cancer types, making dietary planning easier and safer.
This was my first project working with Django, where I focused on using its features to build a structured and maintainable application. I also integrated external APIs, such as the YouTube API for relevant video content and the PubMed API for accessing research articles, to provide users with reliable, up-to-date information. Combined with Bootstrap and jQuery, these integrations helped create a smooth, user-friendly experience.
